Bernard (Boots) Frank Neuberger

It's with both love and sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Bernie Neuberger on December 12, 2017 at the age of 77 years.
Born in Humbolt, SK, and moving to Weyburn at a young age, Bernie has shown a lifelong commitment to this community through his love of sports (particularly baseball and bowling), dedication to his faith and unwavering love of family above else. His positive outlook, sense of humour and genuine care and concern for others will be forever remembered and missed by all that knew him.
Bernie was predeceased by his parents: John & Elizabeth Neuberger; sister Mary Thiel; sister-in-law Helen Neuberger; in-laws: Ernest & Gertrude Kater; brothers-in-law: Richard Kater, Paul Kater, Arnold Roemer; sisters-in-law: Eileen Kater and Diane Kater; niece Shelly Thiel; nephew Michael Neuberger.
Bernie is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Ella and their 5 children: son Tim (Angie) and their children: Krista (Derek) [Emilee, Seth, Alexis], Trace, Ty, Charity, Noelle; son Dan (Tara) and their children: Danielle [Sophia], Trish (Chris), Jon; son Todd (Mardelle) and their children: Jens, Tucker, Hudson; son Darren (Jaylene); daughter Michelle (Terry) and their children: Casey (Hayley) and Hunter [Maddox]; as well as ‘son’ Sean (Caron) Brannen. Bernie is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Joe, Alf (Janet), Marlene (Don) Gill, Jeanette (Jack) Smeed; brothers and sisters-in-law: Don Thiel; Gary Kater, Carl (Shirley) Kater, Marlene Roemer, Wally Kater, Susan (Ron) Kode, and Elda Kater; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Prayers were held Friday, December 15, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn, SK. A Mass of Christian Burial for Bernie was held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church with celebrant Fr. Francis Plaparampil. Honorary Pallbearers were all Bernie's grandchildren and great grandchildren. Urn Bearer was Sean Brannen. Interment was held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK and lunch followed at McKenna Hall, Weyburn, SK.
