I have many fond memories of your Mom. She was a beautiful, gentle, and kind lady. We loved it when she would teach us at the Griffin School. You will greatly miss her.

Dear Friends,
Just received the Funeral card from Bonnie which I so appreciated receiving. My mind floods with many memories - Mabel giving me a perm; having us over to watch Hockey Night in Canada on Sat. night before we had a TV; some of the flowers from her garden were part of the decorations at my wedding but most of all I appreciate the friendship that Mabel extended to my folks - especially mom - though mom had taught Mabel - the difference in years made no difference. I will treasure the notes and pictures that she has sent me through the years.
My sympathies to you all - consider this a hug from me.

Mable was such s beautiful person. Many stories and helpful hints of gardening were shared over the years. She also shared her love of the stars in the sky.
Mable brought many of her gorgeous floral arrangements down to the shop and never wanted anything in return. We did pull our money together and bought her a beautiful stepping stone for her garden . She surprised us all by tearing up. She was so surprised by what we had done although she had given us so much more.
Deepest sympathies to your family from all of us at Dynasty

I still remember the first time I met Mabel, such a beautiful lady who was so proud of her entire family. When I worked at LaMirage we always looked forward to the fresh flower arrangement she would bring in with her from her garden. She could talk flowers for hours and we learned a lot! I know she will be deeply missed, sorry for your loss.

Growing up down the street from Mabel and Jim was very special to us. My sister and I played a lot of cribbage and watched a lot of Blue Jays games at their house. Mabel had so much patience, helping me when I was stuck on a knitting project, trying to teach me the basics of crochet, passing along tidbits about sewing and quilting. We made crafts together, had tea, discussed books and plants and so much more. It was wonderful to have such an amazing neighbour.
