My condolences to Agnes, Mark, Lucy and families. John " Mr." Tumback instilled in me a love of history. It wasn't just the material, it was the way he delivered it. I also had John for a baseball coach. I will always have fond memories of the baseball seasons, particularly the "road trips" to Montmarte in John's station wagon! He will be missed.

My deepest condolences to your family. John was one of my favorite teachers and a good neighbor to my parents.
One of my favorite memories of John was the safe house he provided for my graduating class way back in 1970!

Agnes, Mark & Lucy and families, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. John was a very good person and a good teacher. Loved getting him off topic in class as he was a world of knowledge so we learned much more than just social studies. Don will miss him when he comes in to play pool.

I am sure he will leave a large hole in a lot of hearts from all over the world as he taught many students and shared personal wisdom with them all.I only have fond memories of him, even when he was mad at me in school, you still had to like him.
