Dear Mrs. Elias(my teacher), Judy, Peggy & families,

So sorry to hear about Bud, a fun person. I'll never forget the time that Lorna, Wayne and I came to your place for travel advice. Lorna had booked a trip to Hawaii, and we came to you for some pointers, since you had just been there. When I asked Bud what souvenirs he brought home, he said, "Me, not a Goddamn thing"! That's how I will remember Bud. Please accept our sympathy.

Deepest Sympathy for the Elias family. It is sad to hear the passing of my godfather. I have fond memories of Bud and my dad Tom learning to hang glide. Watching Bud go over the hill backwards attached to the kite, big gust of wind, was my first hang gliding experience. My next was my dad tied to the bumper of the car. My memories as a young observer at the time, was a great bond that all of the local farmers had in this area. As this generation has lost a pioneer, I know that the bond lives on in the next.

Dear, dear family of Bud Elias; I read the notice of Bud's death and my mind went directly to the Creelman Rink! He was my first skip - and gave this rookie Easterner her first lesson in curling: "Keep your eye on the stick!" A lovely and loving man - to his family and community. He will not soon be forgotten.  "Good game, Bud."

To Joan and all of your family-
So sorry to hear of Bud's passing - Mel and I always valued our friendship with you over the years  - usually our good times together involved Shrine events -and of course a highlight each year was the hospitality you provided us after the guys participated in the parade at the Creelman Fair!!
We'll all miss him - but will remember all the fun we had and all his kindness.I'll be thinking of you on Tuesday-
