My condolences to the family of Edgar. I went to Midale school with Edgar and his sister Enid. His dad and my parents were great friends. I joined the force on March 6 1952 and Edgar followed a few months later, we were both in training , that was the last time I saw him. We were the same age .

To Eugene and Family. I was saddened to hear of your Dad's passing from Pal Mann. Having just met Ed and Claire after the Remembrance Day service in Calgary I was in slight disbelief. Please take solace in knowing others like me share in your loss. Ed was impressive. It was humbling to hear of his dedicated service as a Mountie in a time when this Country and Canadians asked them and their 'Second Man' to do so much selflessly. Gentlemen like Ed did that without question! I was left with the impression, even after one meeting, that I would liked to have spent even more hours learning from him. Take care and please accept my sincere condolences. Always your friend.

I will remember his strong and gentle nature, for the guidance and comfort he gave freely to all who knew him. My in-laws and I shared with him the profound bond of deep love for his children. So very sorry to hear of Edgar's passing. Less than a week ago I sat with you and Edgar and caught up on life's happenings. Edgar was a fine human being and that was evidenced even in his early days as a student in Midale School. He accomplished much in his lifetime and will be greatly missed.
