So sorry to hear of your dad's passing; first a neighbour at Colfax & then a neighbour for Mom at Parkway Lodge. He, too, was my softball coach!!! Fond memories from so long ago. And always a cheery hello & chat whenever I saw him. Your family is in our thoughts and we hope that all those great memories will guide & comfort you.
(Wendy & Dean, thank you for taking the time to visit with our family a few weeks ago. That was such a kind gesture especially at a time when your father was not very well.}

Dear Wendy, Dean and Dawn
It was always a special time with Uncle Vern and Aunt Bette, especially when I was young and spent the summers at the farm. I always remember Uncle Vern singing Ragtime Cowboy Joe. So many memories of an amazing man. Rest in Peace Uncle Vern.

Wendy, Dean, Dawne and families,
I was sorry to read the news of your Dad’s passing. Please accept my sincere condolences. I have many fond memories of being Colfax neighbors. I visited with him when in Weyburn for Neva Krieger Schulz funeral (Eddie Bartlett shared where he was living). Vern was a special man. Cherish those memories.

Our sympathy to all of the Leach family. We were only in Weyburn for 7 years, but they were packed with memories of all the curling shinagans that your dad and mom (who I curled with) led me into! They were such fun loving people. May your memories ease this time of sorrow.

Wendy,Dean, Dawn and families -We were so sorry to hear of Vern's passing. He was such a wonderful guy with a great sense of humour. I remember the years he coached our ladies ball team and he did need his sense of humour often, as I recall. He will be sadly missed by friends as well as family. I am sorry that we cannot make it to the Celebration of Life" but please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Wendy, Dean, and Dawne,
So sorry to hear about your dad. He was a great guy and I have many fond memories of having him as a ball coach for many years. He and your mom were good friends to my parents as well. Wish I could be at the Celebration of Life but am presently in Arizona with a broken foot. I so appreciated Wendy coming to dad's funeral last Nov. and wish I could be there for you. Lynne

Wendy, Dean, Eileen, family and Dawn & family! Our sincerest condolences, on the passing of your dad, grandpa, and father-in-law. Vern was like a second dad to me, from all the years I spent over at your farm as a young adolescent and as a pain-in-the-neck teenager, right through to the day Allan & I were married! Go Rest High On That Mountain, Vern. You will be missed very much.
