Wilfred Allan Nyhus

Wilfred Allan Nyhus, late of Ceylon, SK passed away on December 15, 2025 at the age of 85 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Hjalmer and Evelyn Nyhus; his loving wife, Margaret; siblings and spouses: Walter (Lou) Nyhus, Harold Nyhus, Annette (Alfred) Lillejord, Doris (John) McKenzie, Ella (Bob) Tourscher, Jean (Paul) Hlavka, Leonard (Stella) Nyhus, Muriel (Willis) Ayotte and Clayton Nyhus; brothers-in-law, Rudy Szakacs and Martin Evaniew.

Wilfred is survived by his step-sons, Perry (Cathy) Nyhus and children, Tristian (Jana) Nyhus [Hadley, Brooks], Cassidy (Zack) Barclay, Mason Nyhus (Kirsten Finley); Bradley Nyhus and children, Aime (Stewart) Evans [Violet], Brea (Josh) Nyhus-Good [Gus, Finn], Payton Nyhus (JT Beck). Wilfred is also survived by his sister, Reta Szakacs; brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank (Eileen) Vollmer, Alice Evaniew, Joyce (Gilbert) Borle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK with Judy Beck officiating. Pallbearers were: Larry Nyhus, Blaine Thompson, Warren Thompson, Allan Szakacs, Tristian Nyhus and James Catherwood.  Honorary Pallbearers were Wilfred’s grandchildren.  Luncheon was held at Lower McKenna Hall, 317 ~ 3rd Street, Weyburn, SK and Interment followed at the Ceylon Cemetery in Ceylon, SK.
