Wanda was a firework. She loved the dance floor, whether it was at a wedding venue, or a dance floor made of dirt at a campfire down the road from her. She loved to sing along to Godsmack in the car. She loved to talk your ear off. Wanda moved with the seasons. In the winter she was home, cozy, cuddled with her cat and reading, wearing fuzzy socks and slippers. In the spring, she changed to sandals and got packed up for the lake. She happily devoted every May to October to her most favourite place. She loved her cabin and she loved to be outside, whether that was for a dog walk, exploring with her grandbabies, kayaking, or just a sittin’ in the sun.
This fall, she left with the leaves. She’ll be remembered for her beauty, her smile, her style, and her laugh. Wanda was unique. She was a light that rose and shone. She may be gone but not forgotten.
At the request of Wanda, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
For family and friends so wishing, charitable donations in memory of Wanda may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 7T1.
