"Wally" Wallace Percy Oliver, late of Weyburn, SK passed away peacefully on August 21, 2020 at the age of 89 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Percy and Ruth Oliver; sister Orchid (Willis) Warner; and his daughter Debbie Oliver; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Geordie and Gladys Thackeray; brother-in-law Jim Thackeray; and sister-in-law Janette (Larry) Krivoshein.
Wally is survived by his loving wife, of 64 years, Joyce Oliver, Debbie’s children, Brittney (Mark) Fawcett [Ireland, Lochlan and Sawyer], Jayden Soroka (Lisanna); his son Brian (Jeannie) Oliver and children: Jenny (Duane) Dale [Weston], Blaze Oliver, Tyson Oliver (Ashley), Haley Oliver (Dustin); his daughters, Tammy (Duane) Dionne and their children: Bailey Dionne (Dyl) [Axton Dionne, Zavery, Zerek, Zsofia and Crimson Brookes], Chandler Dionne (Talisha), Danica Dionne (Branden); and Wendy (Darryl) Postnikoff and their children, Alyssa Postnikoff and Cayden Postnikoff; brother-in-law Don (Elda) Thackeray; sister-in-law Sandy (Dale) Cleveland; nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.
A Private Service of Remembrance was held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from Grace United Church, Weyburn, SK with Rev. M. Barnabas officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were all Wally’s grandchildren and great grandchildren. Urn Bearer was Brian Oliver. Interment was held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK.

Joyce, Brian, Tammy, Wendy and their families would like to extend a heartfelt “THANK YOU” to the staff of House 4, Tatagwa View for their compassionate care and kindness given to Wally over the past 4 1/2 years he resided there. He mentioned to us on several occasions that the staff and residents were his extended family and for this we are very grateful.
