Tanner, 34, of Wilcox, SK passed away suddenly on November 4th, 2022. He was born in Weyburn, SK on February 7th, 1988 and was raised in Radville, SK. Hockey took Tanner to Notre Dame for his high school years and graduated in 2006 at the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame.
Tanner married the love of his life, Leslie, in 2015 and welcomed two amazing boys into the world - Cruz in 2017 and Kane in 2019. Tanner was a proud, hard-working employee of SaskPower since 2011. He was currently working as a Journeyman Powerline Technician out of the Moose Jaw District since fall of 2021. This transfer made him happy because he was home every night with Leslie and his boys.
Tanner was someone who would give you the shirt off his back – and his underwear, too. His generosity was abundant and his caring, endless. To know and love Tanner was to be a part of something special. His love ran deep, and he had this incredible ability to make you feel like the most important person when you spent time with him. He impacted everyone he met for the better.
Tanner was a talented hockey player, playing minor hockey in Radville and Weyburn, Notre Dame throughout high school, Humboldt Broncos in the SJHL, Augustane Vikings, Midale Mustangs, Tisdale Ramblers, Radville Nationals,(bus driver for Wilcox Rangers), Milestone Flyers, and multiple other hockey teams. Outside of hockey, he loved playing ball (Ceylon Angels – “can I get a Hell Yeah!”), rounds of golf, fishing, and most recently, building his family home.
But his absolute passion was his family and friends. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, godfather, friend, teammate, and coworker. Loving Leslie and his two boys were his greatest joy.
There are some people who come into your life and change everything. They raise the standards, make you laugh, and make you feel something incredibly special. Tanner, this was you. Words will never describe what our hearts feel for you. You’re a one-of-a-kind beauty. We love you.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Family Parish Roman Catholic Church, Radville, SK with Celebrant Fr. Thuy Nguyen.
