Shirley Yvonne McDowell

Shirley Yvonne McDowell, late of Fillmore, SK who passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023 at the age 89 years. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Cliff; grandson Shayne Steele; her partner Alvin Griffin; sister Betty Graham; along with step-sisters, and her sister and brother-in-law.

Shirley is survived by her children: Ian McDowell; Heather (Brian) Steele and their children: Allison (Colby) Sproat [Shae], Garett Steele and his children [Kinley, Kooper]; brother-in-law, Bob Graham; many nieces and nephews; her step-brothers: Malcolm, Roy, Wayne and Earl.

Shirley lived in Stoughton until 2018 where she became a resident at the Fillmore Health Centre.

A Celebration of Life for Shirley will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Grace United Church, Stoughton, SK with celebrant Monica Dayman officiating.

All in attendance at the service are considered Honorary Pallbearers. Urn Bearers will be Allison & Garett.

Interment will follow in the Heward Cemetery, Heward, SK with a Luncheon to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Stoughton, SK
