Ruth Hoium

Ruth Hoium, late of Midale, SK passed away on July 30, 2023 at the age of 92 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Torger Tysseland and Anna (Lein) Tysseland; husband Marvin Hoium; her son Leslie Hoium; brothers: Norman, Oscar, Henry, Harold, Alfred; sisters: Esther (Grant), Agnes (Schindel), Borghild, Myrtle; brothers-in-law, Gene Grant, Paul Schindel; and her sisters-in-law: Gladys Marie, Phyllis and Marla.

Ruth is survived by her children: Lynda (Greg) Savenkoff and children, Richelle (Mark), Mark (Tina) [Preston, Ashton, Kaity]; Larry (Lorrie) Hoium and children, Derek (Jamie) Hoium [Jace], Drew Hoium; and Leslie’s children, Sheri Hoium, Bryan Hoium; sister Gladys (Don) Ector; brother Dave Tysseland; sisters-in-law, Anita Tysseland and Ione Tysseland; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

An Interment was held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Westphalia Cemetery, Midale, SK with Pastor Carla Blakley officiating.  A Service of Remembrance followed the interment at 2:30 p.m. from the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Midale, SK. Honorary Pallbearers were all in attendance.  Luncheon was held at the Midale Civic Centre following the service.

Our family wishes to express our sincere appreciation for organizing the lunch and providing support via phone calls, texts, food items and flowers. Words cannot describe the exceptional care and compassion of the dedicated staff of the Mainprize Manor. May God richly bless you all!
