Ronald Patrick Tourand

Ronald Patrick Tourand, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the age of 85 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Opal Tourand; his brother Kenneth Tourand; grandson Shawn Tourand; great-granddaughter Piercelyn Tourand Smith; brother-in-law Jim White; and his sister-in-law Joan Steward.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Beverley; their children:  Martin (Wendy) Tourand, Julie (Larry) Kooistra, Brenda Paul and Rick (Glaucia) Tourand;  grandchildren: Mike (Mel), Matt (Tracy), Stephen, Eric, Logan, Austin (Tori), Aislinn (Bronwyn), John (Melissa), Christopher (Bethany), Justin, Caylee (Andrew) and Kayden; great-grandchildren:  Kiara, Madison, Oliver, Theo, Azraielle, Lynkoln, Irelynn, Breanna, Lukas, Amarrah, Aurora, Ethan, Wyatt and Addison. 

Ronald Patrick Tourand, late of Weyburn, SK, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the Weyburn General Hospital at the age of 85 years.  Ronald was born on December 7, 1936 in Spalding, SK and grew up in the St. Front area.  On July 11, 1959 he married the love of his life, Beverley White in Vancouver, BC.  They lived in Saskatoon and Regina for a short time but eventually made Weyburn their home.  Ronald was a loving husband and father to 2 sons and 2 daughters, along with adoring grandfather to his 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He loved to hunt and spend time with his brothers and cousins.  Ronald’s other great passion was his business, Ron’s Work Wear Store. It was he and Bev’s labour of love that is being carried on by second and third generations.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn, SK with celebrant Fr. Valentine Amobi.  Honorary Pallbearers were all Ronald’s grandchildren. Urn Bearers were Johnathon Paul and Michael Tourand.  Funeral Luncheon was held at McKenna Hall, 317 3rd Street, Weyburn, SK.  Interment will take place at a later date.
