Ronald Creusot Obituary

Ronald Hector Creusot, late of Ceylon, SK, passed away May 13, 2020 at the age of 73 years.

He was predeceased by his father Jean; mother Malvina; his sister Melvina; niece Deanna; and brother-in-law Frankie.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; daughters: Nicole (Dan), Renea (Jason), Danielle (Derek), and son Courtney (Tami); and their mother Susan; step sons: Glenn (Kelly), Darryl (Melanie); grandchildren: Cody (Chantelle), Ryley (Carlie), Rebecca, Ryan (Brandy), Matthew (Olivia), Rhett, Reid, Emily, Blake and Cora; step-grandchildren: Jayden, Calem, Cody, Carter and Kiley; great-grandchildren: Hubert, Oaklynn, Ramona and Emmett; his sister Eva; brothers:  Louie (Bev), Marcel (Jorgie), Ricky (Julie); step father Alphonse; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron Creusot was born in Radville, SK, on July 29, 1946, the second youngest child of Jean and Melvina Creusot.  He grew up in Radville with his five siblings.  He enjoyed sports, playing hockey and baseball.  When he graduated, he worked as a mechanic and drove school bus.  He played with the Ceylon Angels baseball team and created many lasting friendships.  In 1967, he bought the Imperial Oil agency in Ceylon, where he worked for many years before heading off to Alberta.  He found work at Wood Cogger in Edmonton and bought a house in Bon Accord.  He continued to play men's league baseball and hockey and started coaching softball as well.  In 1978, he and three friends started KERR Interior Systems Ltd.  The company grew through the boom of the 70's and continued growing despite the recession in the 80's due to their dedication and commitment.  In 1997 he moved back to Saskatchewan and started his own company, RC Contracting.  He enjoyed helping out at the Pflanzner farms and could often be seen driving grain truck during harvest.  This is where he met his wife Margaret in 1998 and they married in 2001.  Over the last few years they enjoyed traveling, visiting Cuba, Maui, Hawaii, Mexico, and Yuma.  Most recently they have spent their winters in Mesa with friends.

Ron was a man of quiet strength, full of compassion and very loyal.  He was hardworking, a man of few words but was often quoted as saying, "if you are going to do it, do it right the first time."

Ron enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, attending their various sporting events and weddings.  He was quick to smile and teased them frequently.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
