Nina Ione Kaufmann, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on April 28, 2026 at the age of 99 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; son, Brian; grandsons, Matthew and Tanner; parents, Theodore and Selma Fladeland; siblings and in-laws: Arthur (May), Cora (Art Matters), Wilhelm (Clara), Anna (Ole) Eikemo, Emily (Don McGugan), Floyd (aged 1 year), Teddy (Gertrude), Stanley (6 days old); her parents-in-law, Peter and Catherine Kaufmann;brothers and sisters-in-law: Peter (Ernie), Margaret (Alex) Corbin, Helen (Gerald) O’Hagan, Charlie (Elaine), Isabel (John) Eckert and Donald.
Nina is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Arnold) Leatherdale and their family: Brandon (Barb) Leatherdale [Austin (Taeler) Smith, Tanner (Erin) Smith, Chase Smith]; Kirsten (Colin) Warnecke [Jackson Warnecke, Camryn Warnecke]; son, Brian Kaufmann’s family: Joey (Elissa) Kaufmann and family; [Colby (Olivia) Kaufmann, Gabriel Kaufmann, Cain Kaufmann, Lucas Kaufmann], Elissa’s children: Kieran, Carson, Hunter, Hailee; her son Brent (Gwen) Kaufmann and their family: Amy Kaufmann, daughter-in-law, Alyscia Kaufmann [Parks Kaufmann, Kolt Kaufmann]. Joe’s sister-in-law, Florence Kaufmann; many Fladeland, Kaufmann, Rustebakke and Ehrhardt relatives and a legion of friends young and old.
A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK with Pastor Victoria Mwamasika officiating. Interment followed at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK. Luncheon was held at the Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK. Honorary Pallbearers were every last one of “Nina’s Darlings.” Pallbearers were: Brent Kaufmann, Brandon Leatherdale, Jackson Warnecke, Joey Kaufmann, Colby Kaufmann and Gabriel Kaufmann.
