Mary Freda Teske

Mary Freda Teske, late of Weyburn, SK, passed away July 3, 2018 at the age of 77 years.

Mary was predeceased by her parents:  Pearl and Daniel Hein; her brothers: Ivan Hein and Danny Hein; her sister: Fern Hein; grandson-in-law: Adam Beatty.

Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years: Alvin; daughter: Karen (John) Oxtoby; son: Kevin (Sharon) Teske; grandchildren: Ashley (Quinn) Rollins, Janine (Sheldon) Schmidt, Kristina (Ryan) Walker, Sherry (Laine) Henfrey, Breanne (Nic) Pettigrew, Kelvin (April) Teske, Katlin (Alexandra) Teske; great-grandchildren: Knox, Annalee, Kabela, Sophia, Liam, Isabella, William, Laithan, Austin; brother: Kenny (Cathy) Hein; sisters: June (Arnold) Leslie, Dorene (Delbert) Jensen, Edna (John) Moryski, Eileen (Lionel) Cherpin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mary was held Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK with Pastor Victoria Mwamasika and Marj McLeod officiating.  Active Pallbearers were:  Kelvin Teske, Katlin Teske, Sheldon Schmidt, Quinn Rollins, Ryan Walker, Nic Pettigrew and Laine Henfrey.  Honorary Pallbearers were all in attendance. Interment was  held at Yellow Grass Cemetery, Yellow Grass, SK with luncheon following at Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK.

Mary was born on Aug 17, 1940 in Wadena, Sask. She married Alvin Teske on September 26, 1959 at Yellow Grass, Sask. They lived on a farm near Yellow Grass until 1998 and then moved to Weyburn, Sask. Mary loved flowers, gardening, sewing, photography, and attending family events and special occasions.
