Margaret Anne Paslawski

Margaret Paslawski, late of Weyburn, SK passed away May 8, 2024 at the age of 74, a week before her 75th birthday.

She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Dick Taillon; her father-in-law Peter Paslawski; sister Maureen Littlejohn; niece Amanda Littlejohn-English; and her granddaughter, Mary Helen Bellegarde at birth.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 50 years, David Paslawski; daughter Kathy Paslawski (Corey Bacon); son Stephen (Delaney) Paslawski; grandson Aiden Bellegarde; mother-in-law Annie Paslawski; sister Mariette Taillon (Stan Rowe); her brother John (Frances) Taillon; sister-in-law Barbara (Don) Glover; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  

Margaret was born in Atikokan, ON on May 15, 1949.  The family later moved to Bell Island, Sydney, NS, Montreal, PQ and later Regina.

She met the love of her life, David at a wedding.  They were married on November 3, 1973.  They lived together on the family farm until late 2019, when major health issues arose, and in 2020 the Weyburn Special Care Home became her new home.

Margaret will be remembered for being a quiet gentle soul.  She was a dedicated wife, a homemaker, a loving mother and a grandma who was so proud of her grandson.  She was a member of the Weyburn Legion for decades.  She enjoyed reading her books and playing cards with friends and family.

Prayers were held Monday, May 20, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn, SK with celebrant Fr. Valentine Amobi.  Luncheon followed at McKenna Hall, 317 - 3rd Street, Weyburn, SK.  Interment was held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK.
