Margaret Coleman Obituary

Margaret “Peggy” Coleman, late of Weyburn, SK, passed away after a short fought battle against liver and gallbladder cancer on January 12, 2024 at the age of 87 years young.

She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas (Tommy) and Frances Evans; her soulmate, Lorne Coleman of 65 years; her daughter Beverly Symthe (Coleman); sisters, Kathleen (infant) and Isabelle Wolff; great granddaughter Dahlia (at birth).

Peggy is survived by her loving daughter, Isabelle Coleman; her favorite granddaughter, Jenn Lupanko and her daughters (great granddaughters) Chloe Wiese and Carli Wiese; great-great grandsons Zayden Wiese and Mateo Wiese; her favorite grandson, Tyler Lupanko and her other two great grandchildren Jazmine Wiese and Kohlt Wiese; brothers, Don (Doreen) Evans, Jack (Marie) Evans; her sister Gail Evans; as well as numerous family and friends.

Kind people are rare to find these days, however, Peggy was blessed to have found three of the most patient, loving and caring earth angels, Amanda Cook, Dianne Brown and Amy Kenway, who shared a mutual love for one another. We would also like to recognize the following people for their exceptional care for Peggy: Karen Fiechter, Shawna Taylor, Trisha Travis, Donna St. John and Diane Greening. She also had her choosen Weyburn Special Care Home family who included: Donna (Dave) Rennie, Mildred Thompson, Caroline Fillion, Liz Duncan, Lucile Strom, Anita Bahnuick and Mavis Fletcher, as well as others that have gone before her.

Grandma, I love you. You are my favorite, you are my bestest friend.”  ~ Dolly “Jenn” ~

Peggy was born in Wadena, SK to Thomas and Frances Evans on June 25, 1936. She was raised on the farm north of Clair, SK where she attended Clair Country school.  She married the love of her life, Lorne Coleman, on July 5, 1958 in the town of Clair, SK.  She became a proud mother of two daughters, Isabelle and Beverly.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking for her family, playing/teaching her grandchildren Jenn and Tyler how to play cards (crib, canasta, rummy). She enjoyed playing Sorry with both grandchildren and also two of her great granddaughters Chloe and Carli.  She took great pleasure in attending activities daily at the home with her friends. Her most desired hobby was winning and be rewarded with Kit Kat bars (mini bars).  Peggy’s greatest accomplishment in life was the love she showed her family and friends. Peggy’s passion in life was to be the best wife, mother and grandma any one could have.  She had the most loving, gentle, stubborn kind soul that ever graced the earth.

Her smile would light up any room she entered.  Peggy was the most amazing mom, daughter, grandma, great grandma, great-great-grandma, auntie, sister, niece and friend.  Our stories will never end, every memory shared we will always celebrate you.

Rest easy Mommy in paradise.  Mommy you will be forever missed, forever cherished and forever in our hearts.  Mommy give daddy, Beverly and Dahlia a big hug and kiss from all of us.  I will take care of the rest of the family. You will live on forever through our family. This is not a good bye Mommy.  But this is a see you later, until we meet again.

Your family XOXOXOXO

Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at a later date.
