Jean grew up on the family farm in the Colfax area before working in Weyburn, most notably as a reporter and editor at the Weyburn Review. She then married Jack and they raised their boys on the farm near Cedoux. She loved living on the farm, maintaining the yard and garden, enjoying the peace and quiet of the prairie.
While Jean preferred to be out of the limelight, she was a staunch supporter of her family and friends and was loved by all who knew her. We will especially miss her sense of humor, her visits and her delicious meals.
As per Jean's request, there will be no funeral.
Jean’s family would like to say a special thank you to all of the caring staff at the Weyburn General Hospital who made her many appointments and her lasts days so comfortable.
In lieu of flowers, for family and friends so wishing, charitable donations in memory of Jean may be made to the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation, Box 1416, Weyburn, SK, S4H 3J9.
