Lorraine Joyce (Toso) Roysum, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on January 4, 2026 at the age of 92 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Mert and Hattie Toso; sisters, Jeannette Hudon, Maureen Belanger; brother, Bryan Toso; many sisters and brothers-in-law; her husband, Omer Roysum; granddaughter, Megan (Roysum) Fonstad; grandsons, Matthew Kaufmann and Tanner Kaufmann.
Lorraine leaves to mourn her daughter, Debbie (Kitch) Milford and family, Chad (Heather) [Cadence, Liam], Riley (Teresa) [Luke, Isaac]; daughter, Gwen (Brent) Kaufmann and family, Amy, daughter-in-law, Alyscia [Parks, Kolt]; son, Garnet (Elaine) Roysum and family, Cory (Cherie) [Cheyanne (Rylan), Jens, Ty], Shane (Lindsay) [Mya, Kason, Bella], son-in-law James (Jessica) Fonstad [Olivia, Kaybree]; son, Gaylord (Kelly) Roysum and family, Halie (Brett) Anderson [Lila, Bradie, Jase], Logan (Jenna) Ellie, Sadie, Eva]. Lorraine also leaves to mourn her sister, Phyllis White; brother, Jim (Jane) Toso; and her sister-in-law, Beverly Locken.
A Service of Remembrance was held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. from the Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK with Pastor Victoria Mwamasika officiating. Pallbearers were Lorraine’s grandchildren. Luncheon followed the service at the Zion Lutheran Church lower level. Interment was held at the Overland Cemetery, Lake Alma, SK.
Lorraine was born September 14, 1933, the second daughter of Mert and Hattie Toso.
She attended school in Lake Alma, SK and graduated from grade 12 in 1952.
Lorraine married Omer Roysum in June 1953 and they lived on the Roysum homestead south of Beaubier until 1999 when she moved to Weyburn.
She was an amazing seamstress and sewed many clothes. Lorraine was always knitting sweaters, afghans and prayer shawls. Lorraine was an active member of Lake Alma Lutheran Church and then the Zion Lutheran Church in Weyburn.
