Leona "Lea" Winnifred Bjerland

Leona  “Lea” Winnifred Bjerland, (nee: Poole), late of Fillmore, SK passed away on April 20, 2026 at the age of 82 years.

Lea was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Reta Poole of Barrie, ON; husband, Larry Bjerland of 63 years; in-laws, Thorben and Helga Bjerland of Rose Valley, SK; her children: Kenneth Elwin, Donna Marie, Everett Dale and Brent Bjerland; brothers, Sam Poole, Bill Poole; sister, Evelyn Scott; brothers and sisters-in-law: Arlie and Carl Kolbenson, Bud Dahnke, Mike Yamniuk, Richard Irvine, Peggy Bjerland, George Grisdale; nieces and nephews: Susan Yamniuk, Trevor Durack, Leslie Bjerland, Tommy Poole. Sam Grisdale, Rob Minnings and Trudy Kolbenson.

Lea is survived by her daughter, Laurie of Fillmore, SK; sisters, Marion Grisdale of Bracebridge, ON, Carol Irvine of Angus, ON, Rae Poole of Barrie, ON; brother, Neil Poole of Newmarket, ON; sisters and brothers-in-law: Donna Yamniuk of Regina, SK, Lora Dahnke of Regina, SK, Mel Bjerland of Rose Valley, SK, Peter and Karen Bjerland of Ontario, Eleanor Poole of Barrie, ON, Waltra Poole, Pauline Raymond of Kitchener, ON; nieces and nephews too numerous to name and great nieces and nephews. 

As per Lea’s request, no funeral service will be held at this time.  A Graveside Service will be held at a later date.  Cremation has taken place.
