Kenneth Hill Obituary
Kenneth Edward Keith Hill, late of Weyburn, SK passed away November 16, 2020 at the age of 84 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, William Donald Hill and Dorothy Merle (McCrea); brother William Donald Hill; his son Michael Trent Hill; and his great-granddaughter Shaylynn.
Ken, born in Regina, SK, is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Caroline (nee: Zerie); his sons: Kevin Scott (Dawne); William Dean (Brenda) and James Kenneth; grandchildren: Amanda (Russel), Michelle (Warren), Gavin, Denny (Matt), Haley; 9 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Ken will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK with Pastor Jody Pfeifer officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK.
Due to Covid 19 concerns, we all must abide by the province of Saskatchewan’s restrictions on public gatherings by limiting the number of people attending the service to 30 persons. For those wishing to join the family, please follow the live stream video on RD Family Funeral Chapel’s website starting at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 5, 2020.
Ken grew up in Weyburn and attended Weyburn Collegiate before embarking on his lifetime career as a plumber/gas fitter. He later taught plumbing/gas fitting at the Weyburn Vocational College before moving on to the role of Head of Building Facilities at Souris Valley Extended Care hospital. Throughout his life, Ken was well known for his talents as an accomplished handyman and builder in addition to his artistic talents, samples of which can be found throughout the community. After retiring in September 1996, Ken spent many hours pursuing his passion as a master wood carver along with his hobbies of golf and fishing.
