Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Johanna Helen Taylor, late of Fillmore, SK passed away on January 7, 2025 at the age of 84 years.
Johanna was predeceased by her parents, Adolph and Wilhelmina Kolbe; siblings: Eddie, Mary, Albert, Ernest, Elsie, Gertie, Margaret and Ella.She leaves behind her loving husband of 62 years, Ray Taylor; her son Curtis & spouse Weihong; her daughter Kelly & spouse Robert; her grandchildren Jenny Li and Torren Taylor, and Kristin and Chase Prentice; brother-in-law Reg (Sharon) Taylor; sister-in-law Donna (Edwin) Eberle; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Johanna worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Fillmore Union Hospital and several years as receptionist, then began her lengthy career at the Royal Bank of Canada in Fillmore that ran from 1971 to 1996.
Johanna hobbies and interest included: camping, travelling, volunteering and spending time with family and friends. She served on numerous community committees such as the Hall Board, Church Council, the Hospital Auxiliary and Town Council. She was also a member of service clubs and had a strong Church affiliation.
Johanna was known for her boundless conversation, and could fill any room with laughter and chatter. She will be remembered for all the love and kindness that she shared with others.
Whether you needed a shoulder to cry on or a good laugh, you could always count on her. Johanna would want us all to share a laugh and raise a glass in celebration of her journey home.
A Service of Remembrance was held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillmore Memorial Hall, Fillmore, SK with Monica Dayman officiating. Luncheon followed the service at the Fillmore Memorial Hall. Interment will be held at a later date at the Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore, SK.
