Jean Janoski, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on October 18, 2022 at the age of 88 years.
She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Mary Chaika; and her sister Donna Chaika.
Jean is survived by her husband Joseph Janoski; daughters: Marianne (Jeff) Davidson; Michele (Lindsay Holt) Janoski; her grandchildren Owen and Sophia Holt; as well as her brothers, Bill Chaika and John (Trudy) Chaika.
Jean was born in Mayfair, SK on May 21, 1934 to Harry and Mary Chaika. On August 21, 1958 she married Joseph Janoski at the Notre Dame Church in North Battleford, SK. Together they raised two daughters Marianne and Michele. Jean was a teacher in the Weyburn area for several years. Hobbies and interest Jean participated in were Bridge and Scrabble. She was a world traveler and visited many places. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. Jean was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and volunteered her time at St. Vincent de Paul Parish. Most of all Jean was known for her warm beautiful smile.
Prayers were held Monday, October 24, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn, SK with celebrant Fr. Valentine Amobi. Pallbearers were: Owen Holt, Lindsay Holt, Mike Kaip, Ron Klein, Richard Wick and Claire Kuhn. Interment was held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK. Luncheon followed at McKenna Hall, 317 - 3rd Street, Weyburn, SK.
