James Lennley Piel

James Lennley Piel, late of Griffin, SK passed away on August 7, 2025 at the age of 66 years.

He was predeceased by his infant son, Mark; parents, Lenley and Lydia Piel; father and mother-in-law, Gordon and Lillian Diggins; brother-in-law, Bill Bernard; and nephew, Greg Bernard.

James is survived by his wife, Kathy Piel; and their children: Chelsey (Nathan) Friedt and their children [Oliver, Jasper, Piper]; Lindsey (Reegan) Ortman and their son [Benjamin]; Aaron (Shelby) Piel and their children [Eliot, Maggie]; his sisters, Wendy Bernard and Sandy (Kevin) Campbell; sister-in-law, Laurel Wiberg; brothers-in-law, Daryl (Debbie) Diggins, Paul (Shelley) Diggins; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.   

A Service of Remembrance was held on Monday, August 18, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. from the Silver Heights Bible Church, 1610 Clarke Avenue, Weyburn, SK with Pastor Andrew Ruten officiating.  Luncheon followed the service at the Silver Heights Bible Church.  An Interment will be held at a later date.
