In Loving Memory of Griffin Gelowitz
Griffin Clarence Lord Gelowitz, 21 years old, passed away unexpectedly on November 13, 2025, in Regina, SK. His sudden departure has left an unfillable void in the hearts of his family and friends who were touched by his vibrant spirit.
Born on December 3, 2003 to Tara Griffin and Ronald Gelowitz. Griffin was an outgoing and social young man who enjoyed nothing more than a great debate! He would submerge himself with current affairs and World War II documentaries. He would share his passionate ideas and knowledge with anyone who would take the time to talk. He was a child that always wanted a seat at the adult table.
Griffin looked forward to all family gatherings. Fond memories of being at the family farm in Osage were created with his cousins. They enjoyed spending time together playing Nerf gun wars, battling it out in a game of Monopoly and playing outside in the snow and dirt. Griffin enjoyed spending time at the lake with his Dad and Grandpa CJ where he would devour one of his favorite meals, Gelowitz sausage, along with a cookie or two from his Aunt Stacie. It was like a rite of passage the year Griffin went hunting with his Dad, Uncle Harvey and cousin Sam where he got his first white tail deer. Griffin beamed with pride.
Griffin had a connection with animals. Although he had several cats over the years, his favorite pet was a miniature schnauzer named Blackbeard. Blackbeard and Griffin were inseparable. Together they would go to the lake or his dad’s house.
Griffin loved life and would squeeze as much fun out of any adventure; this was perhaps most noticeable on his Disney trips. There was no stopping him from experiencing every ride, often outlasting everyone.
Griffin attended Sheldon Williams Collegiate where he enjoyed the social aspects of high school along with learning woodworking skills. The highlight of high school was being on the football team and winning the 2018 city championship. The smile on his face was infectious!
Griffin always enjoyed a wide variety of interests that included; the Regina Diving Club, Scouts, Gymnastics, Swimming, Touch Football, Movies, Rap Music, Gaming, and in recent years joining the Living Springs Church.
Griffin liked people, so gathering an eclectic group of friends was natural for him. He was fortunate to have supportive friends that looked out for him and accepted him.
Griffin found comfort and acceptance in God and in his church community. Griffin's family deeply appreciates the kindness and support his church community offered him.
