Gordon Russell Myer

Gordon Russell Myer, late of Weyburn, SK passed away March 26, 2023 at the age of 68 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alice and Leonard Myer; his brother Gary Myer; father-in-law, Lance Caldwell; and his sister-in-law Lorraine Myer.

Gord will be remembered by his son Tyler (Bailie) and granddaughter [Ava]; his daughter Leanne (Jim and children Tommy and Rio); mother of his children Elaine Myer (Wayne); his brother Virgil Myer; sister Gloria (Doug) Jahelka; special nephew, Brodie Caldwell and niece Bobie Caldwell-Dean; mother-in-law Irene Caldwell; brothers-in-law: George (Barb), Blaine and Roland (Bobbie); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Gord was the youngest of four children born to Leonard and Alice (Nelson) Myer.  They resided on the farm in the Talmadge area.  They grew up on a grain/cattle farm.  Gord went to school in Talmadge and Fillmore, later moving to Weyburn where he attended Weyburn Comprehensive.

Gord farmed with his Dad and later took over the farm.  He worked at a few winter jobs while farming.  In 1994, he joined the staff of Jerry Mainil Ltd. and remained there until retirement. 

Gord was a very quiet, hardworking man. His son Tyler was born in 1989 and his daughter Leanne was born in 1994. Gord watched various sports the kids were involved in.  As time passed, his first grandchild, Ava, arrived, whom Gord treasured.

A Celebration of Gordon’s Life was held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from Trossachs Community Hall, Trossachs, SK.
