Mom and Dad always resided in the Yellow Grass and Weyburn areas, moving into their current home in 1973. Throughout his life Dad always maintained an interest in the trades, constructing the garage at their current home. During the 1960’s and 70’s Dad worked at Barber Motors Ltd. In 2014, Dad received the Fred Garner Memorial Award for Outstanding Member of the Year from the Weyburn Wildlife Federation. Dad was an avid knife and axe maker, creating these items for his family and friends. Like his brothers before him, Dad taught himself to play guitar. Eventually he decided on the Bass Guitar. Dad played Country Music with several different local bands throughout the 1960’s,70’s and 80’s. During his retirement Dad enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his great grandchildren.

Dad was a kind generous spirit who gave his all for those he loved. His input and sense of humour will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Many thanks to Dr. Warren and the staff at the Weyburn General Hospital; and Dr. Dehghani and the staff at Regina General Hospital Cardiac Care Unit.
