Eva was born January 27, 1941 near Radville, SK to Jean and Malvina Creusot. She was the third of six children. At a young age, she worked at the Radville Motors Garage by pumping gas and driving vehicles.  She also volunteered at the Radville Hospital.  Growing up, she attended Catholic boarding school in Montmartre and graduated from high school in Radville.  Eva then went to Grey Nuns’ School of Nursing in Regina.

In the fall of 1961, Eva married Frank Pflanzner and they raised their children on the family’s mixed farm southwest of Ceylon.  She was able to do anything that farm life demanded. Each summer she raised hundreds of chickens and had large flower and vegetable gardens. The Pflanzner's home was enriched with many relatives and friends who enjoyed a safe place to feel at home.

Eva had deep faith. She taught catechism, was in the CWL and on the Parish Council.  She played baseball and curled.  Eva coached the Ceylon Girls Softball Team for many years.  More lifelong friendships began in the 1990’s as she drove the passenger freight bus between Ceylon-Radville-Weyburn.  She sewed for Country Covers and worked at BE Vermeulen Insurance.   Eva loved to help at the Ceylon Hotel and at Heavenly Creations in Pangman.

As a vibrant and strong woman in her sixties, she developed the “Eva’s Lentil and Barley Soup” recipe. After selling the business in 2013, she focused on volunteer work to fill her days in a meaningful way. She sewed hundreds of children’s dresses for the Disaster Aid Canada in Africa.  She gave crocheting and quilting as gifts of gratitude to many for their friendship and support.

In the fall of 2018, Eva moved into the Deep South Personal Care Home in Pangman where she resided until its closing in June 2022. She then moved to the Weyburn Special Care Home and resided there until her peaceful passing on May 6, 2023.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at the care homes for the kind and patient care Eva received.

Eva was devoted to and dearly loved by her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was admired and respected by everyone, many think of her as a second mother. She will be forever in our hearts.
