Douglas Williams Obituary

It is with great sadness the Williams Family announces that Douglas Clarence Williams of Radville, Saskatchewan passed away at the Regina Pasqua Hospital on October 5th, at the age of 84 years, after a few weeks of difficult health challenges.  He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing.

Douglas was predeceased by his wife, Gladys (2007); parents Jack & Della Williams; sisters, Dorothy Bouchard, and Evelyn Haldane; brothers, Robert “Bud” Williams, Earl Williams, Bill Williams, Lorne Williams and Arnott Williams; brothers-in-law; Bernard Bouchard, Max Haldane, and Carson Bailie; sisters-in law Olga Smith, Lynn Williams, Kathleen Williams, and Arlene Bailie.                                         

He is survived by his sons, Reid (Rhonda) Williams of Rocky Mountain House, AB, and grandchildren Rhett, Lauren (Colton) and Kyle; son, Rodney (Tanya) Williams, of Regina, SK, and grandchildren Matthew (Brianna), Marshall (Kim), and Kennedy (Conor); son, Bartley (Deana) Williams of Regina, SK and grandchildren, Payton and Brittney (Jaden); and great grandchildren Kash, Jaya, Bentley, Ryker and Nixon, all of Regina, SK. Douglas is also survived by his brother Gordon (Krista) Williams, and sister Fern (Joe) Demmans; brother-in-law George (Isabella) Bailie; sisters-in-law Alice (Lloyd) Strain, and Ida Gifkens; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, as well as extended family.

A Viewing was held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. from Radville United Church, Radville, SK.  A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from the Radville United Church, Radville, SK with Judy Beck officiating. Interment followed the service at the Radville Laurier Cemetery, Radville, SK.  Luncheon was held at the Radville United Church.

Pallbearers were: Payton Williams, Rhett Williams, Kyle Williams, Marshall Williams, Matthew Williams and Conor Peart. Junior Pallbearer was great-grandson, Bentley Williams. Honorary Pallbearers were: Marcel Cherpin, Vince Bouchard, Aubrey Doud, Jody Bert, Blake Williams, Gordon Williams, Krista Williams, Joe Demmans, Fern Demmans, George Bailie, Mick Williams and Joan Thue.

In lieu of flowers, for family and friends so wishing, charitable donations in memory of  Douglas  may be  made to Radville Marian Health Care Foundation,  Box 310, Radville, SK, S0C 2G0.
