Doreen Brown

The family of Doreen Brown, late of Weyburn, SK is sad to announce her passing at the age of 92 years on June 10, 2026.

She was predeceased by her husband, Garth; parents, Maude and John Nixon; her brothers, Leslie, Eldon, Lionel Nixon; sister, Mary Johnston; father and mother-in-law, Viola and Emerson Brown; brother and sister-in-law, Donna and Tom Hala.

Doreen is survived by her children: Rhonda (Dan) Fradette of Weyburn, SK, Marcie (Blair) Swedburg of Weyburn, SK and Warren (Leanne) Brown of Sherwood Park, AB; grandchildren: Shaina Swedburg, Kalen (Kristen) Swedburg, Kevin Baldwin, Lauren (Garrett) Hamilton, Riley Brown (Lynsey Bent), Tyler Brown (Alicia Walsh), Delaney Brown, Ron (Ashley) Fradette, Carissa Thomson and 10 great-grandchildren. Doreen is also survived by her sister, Kay Sidebottom; brothers, Walter Nixon and Murray Nixon; her special friend, Joe Rubin and his family; as well as her nieces and nephews.  

Visitation was held Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. from the Weyburn Free Methodist Church,  133 ~ 14th Street, Weyburn, SK. 

A Funeral Service for Doreen was held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 starting at 1:00 p.m. from the Weyburn Free Methodist Church, 133 ~ 14th Street, Weyburn, SK with clergy, Pastor Jody Pfeifer. 

Interment followed at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK .  Luncheon was held back at the Free Methodist Church in Weyburn, SK.
