Dora Ewan Kurtz

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mom and Grandma, Dora Ewan Kurtz on July 15, 2025 at the age of 106 years and 9 months.

She was predeceased by her husband Wilford (1998); great grandson, Levi Knox (2015); parents, Louis and Rose Lagberg; sisters: Blanche Yergens, Florence Allard, Edna Allard; brothers, Henry Lagberg and Frank Lagberg.

Dora leaves her children to celebrate her life and her memory: Robert (Diane) Kurtz, Oungre, SK, Kenneth (Louise) Kurtz, Bromhead, SK, Donna (Mitch) Marcotte, Calgary, AB, and Janet (Rick) Woodard of Colgate, SK; 12 grandchildren: Dallas (Christa) Kurtz, Richard (Sienna) Kurtz, Lanette (Sean) Moskal, Jeffrey (Melanie Sittler) Kurtz, Stephen (Kristy) Kurtz, Stewart (Tara) Kurtz, Leslie Marcotte, Laurie (Darren) Knox, Lana (Curtis) Panchuk, Darren Marcotte, Bradley Woodard and Brian (Amy) Woodard; as well as 20 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service for Dora was held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK with Pastor Victoria Mwamasika officiating.  Interment took place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn, SK. Fellowship and luncheon followed back at the Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK.

The family would like to thank the staff at Tatagwa View Care Home for all the care Mom received during her nine plus years there.
