Donna Lynn Major (Kernahan)

Donna Lynn Major (Kernahan), late of Weyburn, SK passed away on June 13, 2026 at the age of 73 years.

She was predeceased by her parents Alex and Isabel Kernahan; brother Robert Kernahan;  grandparents, James & Agnes Kernahan and Joseph & Eva Demeter.

Left to mourn Donna’s passing are her daughter, Tracey (Don); son, Terence (Virginia); grandsons, Kassidy, Caleb and Kelly; her brother Michael (Jennifer); and special aunt, Delores Doka.

Born September 21,1952, Donna was raised on the family farm at Handsworth, SK and attended both Handsworth and Stoughton schools. In 1968, she moved to Weyburn and worked various jobs from waitressing at the Voyager Restaurant to bookkeeper for Gulf and Derby Transport. Then finally finishing her working career with Tatagwa.

In 2009 she retired and enjoyed all the benefits that came with it. She enjoyed relaxing, reading, tending to her flower beds, feeding the birds, squirrels and looking after "Gimpy" the bunny.

In 2024, she decided it was time to put the house up for sale as the maintenance of looking after a yard was getting to be too much . In 2025 she moved into her condo, knowing there were no more worries and was enjoying every minute of condo life.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at a later date at the Handsworth Cemetery, Handsworth, SK.
