Donald Leroy Goranson

Donald Leroy Goranson, late of Weyburn, SK, passed away July 16, 2021 at the age of 99 years. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Johanna; his wife Oliveen; son Garry; a daughter in infancy; son Brian; and daughter Donna Goranson- Kessler; brothers: Carl Goranson, Evan Goranson, Doug Goranson; sisters, Isabel Goranson, Beatrice (Alan) Bell, Doris (Jack) Wilson; sisters-in-law, Elenor (Roy) Tollefson, Ruth (Fred) Bowen, Marjorie DeChief, Thelma Blum; brothers-in-law: Edward Hala, Werner Blum, Henry DeChief; nephews: Bruce Tollefson, Dwight Hala, Randy Wilson.

Don is survived by his daughter-in-law, Bonnie Goranson and family: Marc Goranson, Krista Goranson; son-in-law, Al Kessler and family: Tyler Johnston (Sandy and her children: Brynn, Keeley, Aven), Dustin (Jenna and her daughter Everly); sisters-in-law: Gail Goranson, Mary Goranson, Mayvis Goranson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

A Funeral Service was held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. from Grace United Church, Weyburn, SK with funeral celebrant Sharon Elliott.  Pallbearers were: Marc Goranson, Tyler Johnston, Dustin Johnston, Dean Goranson, Wayne Goranson and Stuart Goranson. Honour Guard were the Royal Canadian Legion, Weyburn Branch #47.  Luncheon was held at Upper Grace Hall, Weyburn, SK with interment following Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK.
