Diane Viola Adams

Diane Viola Adams, late of Sylvan Lake, AB and formerly of Weyburn, SK passed away March 1, 2023 at the age of 72 years.

She was predeceased by her father and mother Howard and Katherine Brooker, her brother Willard Brooker, nephew Dean Wick, niece Jody Brooker, brother-in-law Carl Wick, and long-time partner Al Racine.

Diane will be sadly missed by many family and friends, which includes her sister Loretta Wick (whose hearts and lives were intertwined since birth). Diane will also be in the hearts of her nieces and nephews, Carla Wick, Melissa Skinner (Shawn), Dustin Brooker (Amiee), and Hollie Wick (niece-in-law); great nieces and nephews, Richelle, Brayen (Toni), Kar-lee, Kyra (Drew), Khale, Cody, Austin (Rebecca), and Chace. In addition to her sister-in-law Maryann Brooker, and special friend Jodi Mitchel (who she enjoyed her daily phone chats with).

Diane was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan and grew up on the family farm near Griffin, until moving to Weyburn where she lived for many years. She eventually moved to East End and then Fort Qu'Appelle for a period of time. Then moved back to Weyburn until just recently moving to Sylvan Lake, Alberta in 2022 to be with her loving family. 

Over the years Diane worked at Weyburn Nursing Home, Weyburn Distillery, Fort Qu'Appelle Co-op bakery, and Weyburn MD confectionery until retirement. Diane enjoyed ice fishing, boating, playing board and card games, gardening, country music, dancing and especially family gatherings. 

A special thanks to all her close relatives and friends who visited Diane in her time of need. We would also like to acknowledge the Red Deer Hospice for the outstanding care and compassion they provided to Diane and her family.
