Darren John Franko

Darren John Franko, late of Weyburn, SK passed away June 2, 2021 at the age of 60 years.

He was predeceased by his father Edward Franko; his son Talan Franko; his grandparents: Joseph and Nellie Franko and Alfred and Lena L’Hirondelle.

Darren is survived by his mother Doreen Franko, Weyburn, SK; his daughter Danielle Franko; siblings: Marlene Dudgeon, Beausejour, MB, and family: Lisa (Robert) Stewart, Robert (Mandie) Franko, Kaleigh (Mike) Long; Mary (Barry) Boechler, Saskatoon, SK and family: Tracy (Ryan) Keefe, Stacy Boechler; Jeannine (Brian) Kater, Weyburn, SKand family: Paige Kater (Byron Lenko) and Reid (Angie) Kater; 7 great nieces and nephews; his uncles and aunts: Anne (Clarence) Cephart, St. Albert, AB, Adelia Roline, Edmonton, AB, Betty Franko, Edmonton, AB, Mable McConnell, Drayton Valley, AB.

“When your heart stopped, it broke ours – we lost a son, father a brother, an uncle, and a brother-in-law.  Someone who would always be there when you needed him and who loved us all unconditionally.  Family was first and foremost in his heart, he loved his family.  This was so evident when you entered his place, there wasn’t a family member who did not have a picture somewhere – especially his children. Those are memories he held deep in his heart.  We will always miss and love you so very much.”

A Private Family Prayer Service was held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel.

A Private Family Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from McKenna Hall, Weyburn, SK with Fr. Francis Plaparampil celebrant. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, we all must abide by the province of Saskatchewan’s restrictions on public gatherings by limiting the number of people attending the service to 90 people.
