With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Dalton Elmer LaFoy, who passed away on June 17, 2026 at the age of 91 years.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Darlene LaFoy (Skjonsby); his parents, George and Edna LaFoy; sister, Joan (in infancy); his parents-in-law, Stanley and Aurilla Skjonsby; sister, Doreen Vaughn; brother, Dennis LaFoy; brothers-in-law, Jack Vaughn, Marvin Larsen, and Merlin Skjonsby; and his sisters-in-law, Dawn LaFoy and Marion Skjonsby.
Dalton will be lovingly remembered by his children, Wanda (Dave) Edwards and their family: Jason (Nicole) and their family, Emily Nyhus, Elisabeth and Mike Deslauriers and their daughter Octivia, and Ella Edwards; Sarah Goebel and her daughter Charlie; and Chelsey Edwards; Kathy (Warren) Vancuren and their family: Brennan Vancuren (Carla Smith), and Kaiden Vancuren (Lauren) and their daughter Remi; Jerry (Teresa) LaFoy and their family: Conor (Aline) LaFoy and Madison LaFoy. Dalton is also lovingly remembered by his brother Darrell (Deborah) LaFoy; his sisters-in-law Mabel Larsen and Ann Skjonsby; his brothers-in-law Wilf (Marianne) Skjonsby and Darrell (Vickie) Skjonsby; and special aunt Evelyn Deal; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK with Judy Beck officiating. Interment will be held at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn, SK with luncheon to follow at Cecilia’s Banquet Hall, 122 ~ 4th Street, Weyburn, SK.
A loving and hardworking man, dad was the rock and anchor of our family. His strength, steady presence, and quiet devotion will be deeply missed and forever remembered. We are grateful for the time we shared, the lessons he taught us, and the memories that will stay with us always.
