C. Jean Michel

C. Jean Michel, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on January 2, 2026 at the age of 99 years. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Archie and Charlotte McKechnie; husband, Bob Michel; brother, Keith (Doris) McKechnie; brother-in-law, Dorman Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Doreen McKechnie; and son-in-law, Eliford Mott; brothers and sisters-in-laws: Winnie (Clem) Seiferling, Betty (Bob) Andrews, Elsie (Stan) McKee, Vic (Grant) Widdifield, Albert (Gail) Michel, Anne (Howard) Bolton and Harold Michel.

Jean is survived by her children, Carman Michel,Karen Mott, Lorraine (Darcy) Musk; grandchildren: Rejean (Megs) Gagnon, Yves (Kim) Gagnon, Kary Blaney, Rob Belanger, Josh Mott (Marcy Kalberg), Jennifer Von Sprecken (Curtis), Rebecca Mott, Tanya Musk (Chris Borshowa) and James Musk (Kenzie Hoium).  Jean is also survived by her great grandchildren: Katy Osaji, Danny Gagnon, Celeste, Stephen, Amilia, Henry Gagnon, Alex Von Sprecken (Kristyn Mayer), Shaun Von Sprecken, Olivia Von Sprecken, Zach Schmidt (Jill Sehn), Michael Schmidt; sister, Norma Hutchinson; brother, Gerald McKechnie; sister-in-law, Lois Michel; and many nieces and nephews.

Interment was held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Golden Gates Cemetery, Creelman, SK.  A Service of Remembrance was held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grace United Church, Weyburn, SK with Reverend Trust officiating.  Luncheon followed at the Grace United Church, Weyburn, SK.
