Audrey Mae Wercholuk

Audrey Mae Wercholuk, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on November 28, 2024 at the age of 92 years of age.

She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Ella Achen; her brothers, Robert, Roger, Keith; and her sister Joyce.

Audrey is survived by her son, Lonnie and his children Shona and Grant; daughter Luana Gibboney and children Travis (Nicole) and their children [Dakota, Sofia], Joey; daughter Laurie Carnie and children, Thomas Carnie, Lucinda Millar (David) and their son[Robert]; her brother James Achen (Joy Knoll); her sisters, Ruby James, Louise (Mel) Schill, Karen Kuhn; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Audrey was born and raised on a farm near Halbrite, SK.  When old enough, she worked at MacDonald’s Shoe Store and Weyburn Mental Hospital.

She married in 1955 and moved often as her husband worked in the oil business.  She had her three children and in 1966 the family moved to England and then to Scotland where they lived for approx. 26 years.

She then moved back to Alberta where she resided until moving to Weyburn in 2021.  She was diagnosed with cancer on her 90th birthday and put up a good fight until 19 days before her 93rd birthday.  

Cremation has taken place.  No funeral service will be held.  Interment will be held at a later date.
