Allen Thompson Obituary
Allen Henry Thompson, late of Ceylon, SK passed away on November 25, 2023 at the age of 96 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Laura Thompson; his wife Dorothy (2013); daughter Marilyn Vennard; brother Ken (Jeanne) Thompson; brothers-in-law: Gus, Don, John McLean; sisters-in-law: Sylvia, Jean, Margie and Betty.
Allen is survived by his children: Betty (Floyd) Blixrud, Blaine Thompson, Warren Thompson (Laureen); his grandchildren: Jason Vennard, Holly (Michael), Stephen Vennard (Tanya), Renee Blixrud and Christopher Blixrud; 6 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Marion Williams; brother-in-law Bill (Leanne) McLean; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Allen was held Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from Ceylon United Church, Ceylon, SK with Judy Beck officiating. Interment was held at Ceylon Community Cemetery, Ceylon, SK. Pallbearers were: Blaine McCutcheon, Larry Lillejord, Jim Catherwood, Bob Martin, Doug Thompson and Bill Thompson.
Luncheon was held at the Prairie Pride Centre, Ceylon, SK.
