Alice Lynne Garner

Alice Lynne Garner (nee: Mahoney), late of Weyburn, SK passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 18, 2023 at the age of 85 years.

She was predeceased by her parents James and Minerva (Wallace) Mahoney; brother Bruce Mahoney (Mary); sister Noreen Mahoney; and her husband of 43 years Fredrick Hartford Garner, who passed away in 2006.

Her family has been by her side, Curtis Garner (Christall) and Wayne Garner; her three granddaughters, Jenna (Jason), Breann and Daysha; and her three great-granddaughters (Presley, Ember and Olsen) and many close friends.

Prayers were held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn, SK with celebrant Fr. Valentine Amobi.  Pallbearers were: Jason Crooks, Herman Isaac, Michael Kaip, Barry Barsness, Chris Pederson and Lorin Bowerin.  Honorary Pallbearers wereLynne's granddaughters: Jenn, Breann and Daysha. Funeral Luncheon was held at McKenna Hall, 317 ~ 3rd Street, Weyburn, SK.

Lynne was a bowler, a dedicated Catholic Women’s League member, choir member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church and a community volunteer.  Her faith led Lynne home where she now has peace in God’s hands.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Weyburn General Hospital for taking care of Mom/Grandma.
