Alan James Lutz, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on July 15, 2024 at the age of 81 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Lola Lutz; and his brother-in-law Cam Lock.
Alan is survived by his wife Elaine Johnson; Alan’s children and grandchildren: Nancy (Trevor) Wyatt and children [Bram and Alex], Derek (Jackie) Lutz and children [J.J. and Ben]; mother of his children Elaine Lutz; Elaine Johnson’s children and grandchildren: Laurel (Greg) Diekrager and children [Dawson, Eric, Ashley], Clare (Jodi) and daughter [Abbey Johnson], Kirk (Shauna) and children [Carter, Lindsay, Jamie Johnson], Todd (Kristy) and children [Nora, Elly Clara, Milli Johnson]; his siblings: Donna Lock, Glenda (Gary) Marcinowski and Joyce (Wayne) Balaberda; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
A Service of Remembrance was held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK with Pastor Victoria Mwamasika officiating. Luncheon followed at the Zion Lutheran Church. Interment for Alan will take place at a later date in Crossfield, Alberta.
Alan will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was an avid sports enthusiast who played, coached and was an umpire. He was always up for analyzing, or discussing any sport. We will miss hearing his honest opinions. The Blue Jays were his favorite team and he rarely missed watching a game.
