Vernon Solie, late of Weyburn, SK, (formerly of Beaubier, SK), passed away December 26, 2017 at the age of 82 years.
Vernon was predeceased by his grandson David Solie Bercier, great grandson Anthony Ottenbreit; his parents: Olaf and Agnes Solie; his brothers: Palmer Solie, Marvin Solie; sisters: Evelyn Dusevic, Lilah Daae; brothers-in-law: Joe Dusevic, Otto Stojke; parents-in-law: Carl and Gladys Offet.
Vernon is survived by his wife Sharon; daughters: Candy (Randy) Turner, Wendy (Paul) Marr; son Warren; his grandchildren: Nadine (Kyle) Ottenbreit, Jason Bercier, Larry Bercier, Chastity Bell, Katrina Bell; great grandchildren: Destiny, Nicolas, and Mason Ottenbreit, Kaiden Bercier, Nevaeh Bell; along with numerous step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren; sisters: Violet Stojke, Verna (Raymond) Daae; sisters-in-laws: Eileen Solie, Lois Solie; brother-in-law Lawrence Daae; brother-in-law Clare (Ida) Offet; as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
A Service of Remembrance was held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK with Pastor Daryl Solie officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were all in attendance. Lunch was held at Zion Lutheran Church, Weyburn, SK. Interment followed at Saron Cemetery, Lake Alma, SK
Thank you to all in the Golden Heritage Apartment at Radville and Bison Manor Apartment in Weyburn, for all the doctors, nurses, home care staff, first responders, Meals On Wheels and all who visited Vernon while a resident in the apartments. He appreciated your visits.
