Ronald John Abel

Ronald John Abel, late of Weyburn, SK, passed away on July 5, 2018 at the age of 72 years.

Ronald was predeceased by his father Robert Abel; his wife Mary Ann Abel; daughter-in-law Aubray Pulfer; father and mother-in-law: Simon and Mary Kot along with many brothers and sisters-in-law.

Ronald is survived by his mother Susan Mailhiot; his children: Darren (Jodi) Abel, Weyburn, SK and children: Tatum (Scott Mercer), Piper; Lisa Abel (Darryl Wolter), Red Deer, AB; Cory Abel (Jodie Sideen), Weyburn, SK and children: Denni (Byron Shangraw), Tiernan Abel, Nick Zerie (Kayla Bauer), Riley Zerie; Rhonda (Tyler) Nielson, Regina, SK and children: Aspen, Acacia, Bodhi, Asher; brother Doug Abel (Rhonda Gustavson), Medicine Hat, AB; 2 great grandchildren: Raquel and Gabriella; sister-in-law Lynn Kot, Weyburn, SK; brother-in-law Norbert Schultz, Weyburn, SK; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was a devoted family man and his greatest source of enjoyment was spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He loved camping, curling, and old cars.  He was always willing to help out no matter the inconvenience with building decks, watching pets, renovations, or simply sharing  his experience and wisdom. 

He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.  

Prayers were held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Francis Plaparampil celebrant.  Interment was held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK with luncheon following at McKenna Hall, Weyburn, SK.
