Irene Leedy Obituary
Irene Eunice Leedy, late of Radville, SK passed away November 26, 2019 at the age of 101 years.
She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Elizabeth McWhinney; her loving husband, Ted (1982), four brothers: Bill, Bob, Herb, Archie; and two sisters, Stella and Vera.
She will be dearly remembered and cherished by her two daughters, Gayle (Ross) Hillrud and Colleen (Byron) Vermeulen, all of Ceylon, SK; seven grandchildren: Marla (Darcy) McPhee, Marvin (Nicole) Hillrud, Lisa (Del) Fladeland, Blake (Dawn) Hillrud, Rob (Christa) Vermeulen, Brent (Laurie) Vermeulen and Jason (Lori) Vermeulen; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life was held Monday, December 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ceylon United Church, Ceylon, SK with Jeri-Lee Jones officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were all Irene's grandchildren. Interment was held at the Ceylon Cemetery, Ceylon, SK with luncheon following at the Prairie Pride Community Centre, Ceylon, SK.
In lieu of flowers, for family and friends so wishing, charitable donations in memory of Irene may be made to the Ceylon United Church, Ceylon, SK, S0C 0T0 or the Radville Marian Health Centre, 840 Conrad Avenue, Radville, SK, S0C 2G0.
