Florence Emily Easterbrook

Florence Emily Easterbrook, late of St. Brieux, SK passed away on March 23, 2024 at the age of 95 years.

Florence Emily Easterbrook was born August 9, 1928 in Alberton, Prince Edward Island and subsequently moved to St. Boniface as an infant. She was the second of 12 children: Alban, Florence, Adrien, Lorraine, Raymond, Gerard, Paul, Lucy, Doris, Irene, Helene and Simone.

At the age of 17, she married Coleman Easterbrook and they moved to Vancouver, BC where she and dad raised four children: Suzette, David, Ken and Tim. Over the next several years they moved twice and retired in Gibson, BC.

After Dad’s passing she eventually moved to Saskatchewan where she lived with her son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Cathy. Florence was a grandmother to 8 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 16 greats. 

Mum loved to travel to as many places as she could with Dad; including Japan, Hawaii, Australia, England, France, Italy etc.  Her second love was her rose gardens where she successfully raised over 100 rose bushes from clippings.  She also knitted hundreds of toques; many placed in Samaritans' Purse Christmas boxes sent all over the world. 

Mum did not want a funeral service, but wanted to be remembered as a woman who enjoyed life  to the fullest.  She will be missed by many.  Luv you Mum!

She passed away peacefully at the age of 95 years, lovingly held in the arms of Jesus.
