Trevor Wade Roesslein, late of Yellow Grass, SK passed away June 25, 2012, at the age of 42 years. Trevor was predeceased by his grandparents: Roy and Pearl Mitchell, John and Mary Roesslein.

Trevor is survived by his wife, Stacey Roesslein; his children: Austin, Trey, Cameron and Reis all of Yellow Grass, SK; his parents, Rick and Faye Roesslein, Weyburn, SK; his in-laws: Linda Ebel (Garry Ferner), Weyburn, SK, Garth (Debbie) Ebel, Regina Beach, SK; sister-in-law, Jody (Jamie) Godlonton, Chestermere, AB; brothers-in-law: Kurtis (Nikki) Sanguin, Watrous, SK, Dane (Carmen) Sanguin, Estevan, SK along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Trevor was born on May 29, 1970 in Weyburn, SK. He graduated from Weyburn Comprehensive High School and from there attended the University of Minnesota, where he played hockey for the Minnesota Mavericks. On February 14, 1998, he married Stacey Ebel. Trevor loved to farm and took over his grandparents farm as well as renting from many others in the Yellow Grass area. Trevor was very proud of his family and spent many hours coaching their hockey teams and spending time with them boating in the summer and sledding in the winter. Many describe Trevor as a hard worker and a real nice fellow. Trevor always enjoyed spending time with his family. He was always on the go and no matter where he would be there was always someone he knew whether it be through farming or hockey. It would usually take him twice as long to get anything done because he would never turn down a conversation. He loved being with people and visiting with them.

A service of remembrance for Trevor was held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Grace United Church, Weyburn, SK with Marjorie McLeod CLA, officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. Honorary Pallbearers were Ray Erickson, Norm McFadden, Darren Larson, Chris Hockley, Dave Pulfer, Dean Altwasser, Doug Lumb, Darcy McLeod and Dallas Rogal.

For family and friends so wishing, donations in memory of Trevor may be made to the Roesslein Children’s Trust Fund, c/o Weyburn Credit Union Ltd.

Dear Stacey and boys;

Letting you know my thoughts have been with you constantly when I heard the tragic news. So Sorry.

I will make out a cheque for the childrens fund in memorium of Trevor, see you friday.

I met Val Shirley at her Shoppe here in Regina as I drove my freind Carolle
Basken there to get her Prosthesis, and a new Bra.

I was waiting and Val brought me a glass of water , we started talking and I told her about my great nephew in Weyburn, so she told me about thevery good times you all had together in Jamacia.

She asked me to give you her Love and
condolences, and I thought this an appropriate way to do it as you will read this on your own time , and not so many freinds and relations around

Hugs
Aunt Pat

My thoughts are with you at this time of such a great loss. My mother and I babysat Trevor as he grew up. I watched him grow into a wonderful man as he played hockey and made the Red Wings. I then watched as he grew to yet another step in his life when he married and became a father. I will miss watching him grow older. You and the kids will be in my prayers.

We are so sorry to hear about Trevor. It's devastating to lose a child, regardless of age.
Trevor was such a great person. Of course, our first thoughts were of the tournament in Sudbury.....all the fun we all had together. Memories like that will always be there.

I was so lucky to meet and chat most days with Trevor as he came into SCE. If you were having a trying day, a chat with Trevor and your day was definitely brightened up. Trevor always had taken time out of his busy day to chat. He always chatted about how proud he was of all of his family and how much fun he had on all of his vacations with his family and he was so glad he had taken that time to be with his family. Trevor you will be so very missed.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Trevor's passing today. As I reflect about him, I remember the last time we met. It was in 1991 and I was in Yorkton visiting family after returning from the Persian Gulf War. We talked about high school acquaintances, my war experiences and of course, hockey.

I was a great conversation. The world will be a different place without him.

We are very saddened to have heard of Trevor’s passing. Our deepest sympathies and prayers go out to all of you. We had the privilege of getting to know Trevor during his time with the Yorkton Terriers Hockey Team (we were his billets). He was a wonderful person. He had a great personality and was very thoughtful. My kids still remember him helping them make a snowman (they had a great time). So sorry for your loss ......

My Dear Faye & Family,

How very saddened and shocked I was to learn of the loss of your beautiful son. There can be no deeper hurt than to lose a child and one's life is forever changed. When I heard of this tragedy, my mind flashed back to when we were little girls and you and your parents so generously shared your marvellous doll collection and upstairs playroom with me at the farm. Faye, I will think of you and your family every day and send love and healing wishes as you experience this incredibly devastating time. You are loved.
