Russell Blischak, late of Weyburn , SK  passed away September 1, 2017 at the age of 80 years. Russell was predeceased by his parents: John and Mary Blischak; sister:  Roselia (Lou) Cooksley; brother: John (Ruby) Blischak; his in-laws: William and Anne Matlock; brothers-in-law: Colin Mayes and Allan Sushynski.

Russell is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elsie, Weyburn; sons: Gale (Karen) Blischak, Estevan, Barry (Cheryl) Blischak, Calgary, AB, Brian (Jane) Blischak, San Diego, CA; daughter: Brenda (Martin) Ward, Calgary, AB; grandchildren: Coleton and Madison Blischak, Daniel and Hannah Blischak, Brandon, Nicholas and Lindsay Blischak, Curren, Carson and Britain Ward; sister: Alice Baker, Winnipeg, MB; brother-in-law: John (Lillian) Matlock, Edmonton, AB; sisters-in-law: Betty Sushynski, Edmonton, AB, Corey Mayes, Surrey, BC as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Prayers were held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn.  Funeral Liturgy was held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn with Fr. Andrei Kachur officiating. Interment followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn. Pallbearers were Russell's grandsons and honor guard was the Knights of Columbus.

For family and friends so wishing, in lieu of flowers,  donations in memory of Russell may be made to a charity of choice.
