John Paul Tumback, late of Weyburn, SK passed away with family by his side on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the age of 81 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Agnes; two children Mark Tumback and Lucy (Tom) Sliwka; two grandchildren: Brandie (Kent) Fisher and Nikkie Sliwka (Tyson Renas); three great-grandchildren: Keira Fisher, Kai Fisher and Ezmay Renas.

John was born April 6, 1935 which he was the youngest of seven children.  He had a love for teaching and after he completed grade 12 in Notre Dame he went to Nova Scotia to get his teaching degree.  He married Agnes in 1961 and they moved to Stoughton where they raised their family and where he taught for the majority of his career.  Later on they moved to Weyburn and John retired in 1989.  After retirement John kept busy with fishing, golf, bowling, pool, shuffleboard and just being outside in the yard.  He was known for sitting on the front step of the house and giving a wave and a smile to anyone who came by. 

At the request of John there will no funeral service and interment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends so wishing charitable donations in memory of John may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 1738 Quebec Avenue, Unit 26, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 1V9.
