Dorothy Frances Axten, late of Sherwood Park, AB passed away on November 12, 2015 at the age of 80 years.

Dorothy is predeceased by her parents Barbara Gold and William Behrenshausen.  

Dorothy is survived by her husband Bill of 58 years; her children Terri Uytterhagen (Randy), Joanne LaBrash (Rick) and Robert (Natalie) Axten;  nine grandchildren; Jordan (Michelle), Nicole (Bill), Sarah (Sergio), Jerad, Andrew, Madelaine, Audrey, Lilian, Chloe; four great grandchildren; Kayla, Owen, Samuel, Finley;  siblings: Marion Chabros (Joe Lang), Kon Behrenshausen (Lorna) and Doug Gold (Sandy).

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy was held November 28, 2015 at 10:30am from St. Eugene Roman Catholic Church, Minton, SK with Father Anthony Pangan celebrant.  A Private Family Interment took place at Chapel Grove Cemetery, Minton, SK.  Lunch was served at the Minton Community Hall.

Dorothy was born on her parent's farm near Minton in 1935. She completed High School at Sacred Heart Academy Regina and graduated from Teachers' College in 1956.  Her first teaching job was at Sacred Heart School in Regina and shortly after, she married Bill in 1957. They settled in Minton and raised three children.  Dorothy always put her family first and was an important part of the community and St. Eugene's Parish.  She was always willing to share her time and talents with the community. Her involvement with Fall Fairs, the local drama club, Friendship Centre and curling was important to her.  She also enjoyed gardening, traveling with her family, and took many trips to visit her children and grandchildren.

She will be loved and deeply missed by all those who shared in her life.
